First seen in 1974’s “Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla,” Mechagodzilla celebrates his 50th anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion, Bandai launches their “DX Chogokin Damashii” action figure of this iconic kaiju! Press on his dorsal fins to activate Mechagodzilla’s theme song, attack sounds, and more! Mechagodzilla’s various functions are reproduced with sound and light — the Space Beam sound will be heard while both eyes light up with multi-colored light, and the Cross Attack Beam sound is played when the internal LED lights up in conjunction with the deployment of his chest hatch! You can also reproduce the flight form by replacing his head and tail. The speaker is built into the slit-like detail on his neck, and his dorsal fins serve both as activation switches and the power on/off switch. His head rotates 360 degrees, and he sports numerous joints throughout his body for full posability. His metallic appearance is reproduced with silvery paint and multiple shadow colors; his characteristic riveted details are made with slide molding for realism.
